Mother of five, Grammy of eight, Johnese Burtram has served alongside her husband, Ken Burtram, for 36 years in the Potomac District Assemblies of God, where her husband currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer.

With a Bachelor of Individualized Studies in Pastoral and Psychological Studies from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, Johnese writes devotionally and speaks for church functions.

She and her husband have served their home church as chairpersons of the Missions Committee, where she coordinated the annual Missions Conference, involving eight to ten missionary speakers and over 1000 attendees. She continues to have a strong interest in missionary endeavor

She is an empathetic supporter of clergy wives and their families, having done original research into clergy family issues during her undergraduate studies.

She is involved in her local church as a small group leader and on the leadership group for the newly formed Northern Virginia Christian Writers Fellowship, http://www.novachristianwriters.org/

According to Johnese, she is, above all, a fellow traveler on the journey of faith, striving to become a fully committed follower of Jesus.
